Gillian Chung Marriage Called Off Over New Photo Scandal
Posted on February 19, 2008 at 3:02 pm (PST)
Gillian Chung received a marriage proposal from Juno Mak this week, however, before Gillian could give him an answer Juno abrutly took back his proposal. News reports are saying that Gillian said "no" to Juno’s marriage proposal, but that is just to make Gillian look like she’s in control. Rumors have been getting louder that another celebrity may have another batch of naughty pictures of Gillian which were stolen, and may be released. Although Juno seems to have forgiven Gillian for her involvement with Edison Chen, this new naughty picture scandal seems to have been too much for Juno, so much so that he took back his marriage proposal. If another batch of pictures of Gillian is released her career will be over for sure. A source close to Gillian says she is putting on a strong face and appearance, but that is only to mask her fear of losing her celebrity status. The source adds that Gillian is hoping everyone will forget about the scandal as if it never happened.
To distract attention from herself she is blaming Edison Chen. A source closed to Gillian said:
“Gillian really loved Edison then and would do anything that he asked her. She thought she could hold on to him in this way. You can imagine how hurt she felt when she saw the photos and realized she was being cheated on. It’s said that Edison loves to brag to his friends about the women he has conquered.”
Gillian really knows how to play the innocent little girl who was the victim of big bad Edison. Gillian should really be given an award for her great acting.

what to say now as everything had happened carelessly all of a sudden.so the best thing is not to be involved anymore next time as this’s a good lesson to them.

The biggest victim not edison but the person who stole that pic.
Edison is doing a bad thing, i agree about that but the girls are guilty too.
if tey scare about this thing why they agree to do such of this at that time.
so they can’t just ask edison to responsible all of this thing.
if i was a man, i won’t marry a girl who will done a crazy thing like that.
so if the fiance refuse to marry her this is not edison’s fault.

I would hate for this picture scandal to put many fine actors out of work. I hope to see Gillian Chung in more movies in the future.

This is really not a big deal - not in America anyway. In the U.S. your celebrity stardom would actually sky rocket after this type of scandal. Yes it’s a shame as this kind of thing is much more frowned upon in Asian cultures. Being Asian myself I could sympathize with the embarrassment.
Truly, Edison is not all alone at fault. The girls were always willing participants too so they are not innocent. This is not saying that they deserve this at all. S@x is a private thing, not meant to be shared. However Edison and his ladies should have learned that in this day in age, if you document it, it is at risk of being leaked and shown to the world.
All in all, leave them alone, they are just human - and there’s no shame in s@x. Yes it’s ugly now that the whole world see but it is not a crime.

indeed. itz scary to see how different she can be. i wonder how she’s really like.
and the biggest victim here is edison. he’s being portrayed as the bad guy and had to swallow all. but really. why is no one showing him any sympathy? surely he was not waiting for things like this to happen when he took the pics.

I don’t think she deserves sympathy from the public so stop shedding crocodile tears. Edison Chen is an victim too but nobody pity him. Nobody’d like such things to happen. She did everything willingly. Edison is innocent

I say it was coming to Gillian. She seems like a complete hypocrite as previously she was crying and proclaiming “dignity!!” and getting the whole industry on her side when a photographer took a photo of her taking off her bra (which really had nothing). This occurred after these photos were supposedly taken so she really looks stupid and can’t really cry poor. I mean is that “dignity” when you let the guy take a photo of you s^cking him off but cry poor when a photographer takes a photo of you which reveals close to naught. Needless to say she took down the entire magazine.
