George Carlin is Dead

One of the greatest word-smiths, and funniest comedians in our generation, George Carlin, has died.
Carlin (71) was admitted to St. John’s Medical Center in Santa Monica earlier this afternoon with complaints of chest pain. He died about 6 PM. The comedian had a history of heart disease, and most likely died from a heart attack, much like Tim Russert did earlier this month.
Carlin had performed as recently as last weekend at the Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas.
Rest in peace, and thank you not just for all the laughs you gave us, but also for making us think.
