Fire at Universal Studios
A fire raged through Universal Studios early this morning. The King Kong exhibit is three quarters gone, as is the New York Street set and Hill Valley, which was the town from Back to the Future, and the Ghost Whisperer set. Other sets that are still being assessed on the back lot where the fire raged are Spiderman 2, The Transformers, Crossing Jordan, and the house that was featured in Pyscho.
A video vault containing 40,000 – 50,000 videos and reels were also destroyed. Officials say there are copies elsewhere. Whew! That’s a relief.
