Elton John performed in New York City Wednesday at the Radio City Music Hall, and managed to raise $2.5 for Hillary Clinton campaign fund. Elton’s performance was controversial because he is a foreigner raising money in the U.S. for a presidential candidate, and there are laws against foreigners interfering with U.S. politics. However, Elton’s effort was not challenged legally.

Hillary introduced Elton to the crowd, with her daughter Chelsea, and husband Bill at her side. Bill wore a pink tie for the occasion. He’s so hip.

One panelist took great offense to Elton sterotyping Americans as having a misogynistic attitude. In other words, Elton said Americans hate women. For someone who doesn’t like gays to be sterotyped, or mischaracterized, Elton knew his remark would offend a lot of people, especially American men, but that’s Elton, he loves the attention he gets from being shocking and controversial.
