I don’t think Eddie lied about retiring from the entertainment industry. In his statements from over a month ago, I recalled he said, “I am retiring from the HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY indefinitely.” He ain’t in HK now, that’s for sure.
But I think he did lie when describing what he was going to do after leaving HK…and I believe it was something along the lines of public service and charity. NOPE! Not at all apparently!

This story is not new. I remember hearing about this back in July 2008. This was also around the time when there was that “domestic” incident between Christian and his mother. Can’t say I blame the guy for being under stress and perhaps exhausted from his work while at the same time promoting Dark Knight around the world.I guess only now did they publish the viral clip online.

Thank goodness. I thought he was out of the entertainment industry for good. I’m hoping he’ll be able to break out of the Asian male actor stereotype. I liked his role in Initial D.
