Dustin Lance Black Issues Statement Regarding Intimate Pics

Dustin Lance Black responded today with a statement regarding the leaked pictures of him, and another man, having unprotected s*x:

"It is unfortunate that individuals and other outside parties are trying to profit from material which is clearly private. I have had the privilege to speak to people across the country, both gay and straight, on a number of critical issues including safe s*x. More important than the embarrassment of this incident is the misleading message these images send. I apologize and cannot emphasize enough the importance of responsible sexual practices."

Misleading message? There isn’t anything misleading. It’s a fact, Black had gay unprotected s*x. It is good Black admits how critical safe s*x practices are, but we are concerned by Black’s veiled effort to minimize his irresponsible behavior. It’s hard to be a gay role model when you don’t practice what you preach. We hope Black has learned from his mistakes. Actions speak louder than words.
