marie-osmond Donny Osmond Apologizes to Larry King

Donny Osmond apologized to Larry King for criticizing the CNN talk-show host after Larry revealed that Marie Osmond’s 16-year-old son had entered rehab. Marie appeared stunned, and asked Larry how he knew that her adopted son was in rehab. Donny and Marie were very upset, but still found it in their hearts to forgive Larry like the true Christians they are. Donny said:

"I was very upset about it," the 49-year-old singer said in an interview that aired Monday on NBC’s "Today" show. "I thought it was very unfair for Larry King to throw that question at Marie the way he did. I have to back up and apologize publicly to Larry King because I came out and said some things against him … In hindsight, Larry King did Marie a favor," Osmond said. "She was able to make a statement about the situation. … And so she’s grateful to Larry."

Larry should have been the one to apologize to Marie for asking such a rude question right after her father died. Click here to see the video.

Whether you like the Osmonds or not, you have to admit they showed grace and forgiveness in this situation. I feel the apology was owed by Larry King, not by Donnie or Marie Osmond. Larry’s interview should give him a picture of what he might face when his children become teenagers. I wish we all could manage adversity as well as the Osmond family seem to.

Oh please. Larry should NOT apologize. He is a reporter, reporting the news. And give me a break. The Osmonds are 1. NOT Christians, Christians are followers of Jesus Christ, they follow Joseph Smith. The Bible says do NOT add books to the Bible. It’s in Revelation. 2. Donny knows good and well he needs to apologize to King, King can make or break someone’s career and to jump off the deep end criticizing him for asking a simple question…well that speaks to Donny’s pettiness, not his chivalry.
You can bet your sweet bippy Donny apologized, it’s a business move, nothing more. Marie has it made in the shade. She’s divorcing…big deal, a child is in rehab, big deal, her dad died, big deal. There are thousands of women in the USA alone that are going thru much harder events than that. Why don’t these people, with their millions, start a foundation to help those in serious need? Get real people and stop idolizing people that are in the news as ‘celebrities’. Marie has it easy. And Donny saying something instead of Marie, shows me she isn’t as strong as she says she is. 47 yrs old and her brother has to speak for her??? Puhlease!
