He looked rather unhappy while making this apology. It’s obvious he isn’t exactly enamored over Hilton. Not many are. In a condescending yet gentlemanly manner, he handled what he knew to be an immature, self-absorbed, and manipulative 27-year old woman whom he had insulted. He merely went from one extreme to another. Ironically, despite Hilton’s exit with a bouquet of flowers and childish smirk, Letterman came out ahead in the game.
