I don’t see a problem. As a parent …

I don’t see a problem. As a parent myself, I don’t see this type of play is an issue, we wrap our kids in cotton wool all the time and don’t dare do anything for fear they might be hurt or killed. I don’t much like Beckham, but I don’t think this demonstrates irresponsible parenting, just a Dad spending time with his kid. Lets look at what is happening. Beckham is playing with his kid on grass not concrete, the kid’s arms are down, I reckon there’s more potential for a sprained wrist than head injury. This is hardly dangling your kid over a balcony stuff, if all play is super safe no-one would ever get injured and therefore our awareness of hazard, as well as our childrens’ would decrease. Next we’ll be outlawing hand stands!!

wow im going to go out on a limb here and take a guess that your parents didnt play with you to much as a kid….my dad would swing me and my sister around all the time..never got hurt. A Father wouldnt drop his kid if anything i got hurt more from his grip around my ankles to make sure i didnt fall. This is ridiculous first the helmet thing with Gomez now this? Since you love giving parenting advice so much heres some for you…if you have kids im sure they would like to be let out of their plastic bubbles every once in a while. And if you dont then you have no room to give advice.
If your child ends up dead, or a vegetable for life, you’ll finally understand how important it is to protect their head, either with a helmet or by avoiding unnecessary risky activities like this. There are plenty of other fun things to do that are safer. Visit a pediatic ICU sometime, and find out how the children with head injuries there got hurt.
Wow. No wonder our kids grow up to be such pansies nowadays. They’re not made of glass you know. Must be a slow newsday I guess. The guy is playing with his kid….leave him be. At least he spends time with him.
dont be ridiculous

Look HG, I agree with you most of the time, but this is just kids play between a dad and son. Nothing but an adult knowing the limits… relax a bit, ok??? I like your post and all, but this is minor.
Had this done to me as a child and often see it done by other fathers and mothers for that fact, your overreacting a bit I think.
a tad overreacting here, i had this done to me as a child and i see my father do it to his grandkids, there is alot more things out there that kids and fathers/mothers should be aware off.. not this pish… only reason its a news thing is because he is who he is
Don’t you think your overreacting? I can see if he was swinging him around like he was in some sort of hammer swinging contest, but it looks like simple childs play, crossing the road is 20 times more dangerous then your father swinging you around by your feet in the grass, hell, I wish my fater was around to do this to me!
So you would risk your child’s life for a few minutes of fun? Some people think shaking babies is fun too.
