I agree with zach… i mean they both …
Comment posted Coldplay Plagiarized Creakyboards Song by Raquelle.
I agree with zach… i mean they both sound similar but then again so do many other songs like
s club 7’s “I never had a dream come true”
and
Elliot Yamin’s “Wait for you”
also
Sly and the family stone’s ” thank you for letting me be myself”
and
Janet jackson’s ” rythem nation”
listen to the beginnings and you’ll see the similarities…none of them sued each other for plagiarism.

I believe what the Creaky Boards say. Everyone is always like, “A band no one has ever heard of before” Hello??? Duh! To cover up a crime more easily, you won’t go stealing from the President’s house, you steal from the guy nobody has ever heard about. Obviously nobody will believe them. It’s not the first time that Coldplay have used Melody’s from other artists. Violet Hill sounds like a raggea song I’ve heard before, but It’s still a good song. Whoever’s more famous isn’t important. In the end art is art and plagiarism isn’t right, no matter who you steal from.
I use to like Coldplay. Well, not anymore. And that brings up the question, wich is suitable for every band cought to crib – how many songs are actually theirs… Shame, shame…
These guys got ripped off. Anyone who knows about the songwriting process would have to agree.
The melody and lyrical timing are too close to be a coincidence. It is a direct lift.
Wow. People in the music business getting taken.
Who’d of thunk…
I think the songs are pretty similar, but I don’t think they have a case. They probably just want attention for their band.

There are specific criteria that have to be met to prove plagiarism in a court of law. The chord changes are pretty much identical, the melodies are very similar. He could have a case. Intent is not a prerequisite. Coldplay could be found guilty even if they’d never heard the song by Creakyboards.
They’re both pretty good songs, though——
