Christian Bale Apologizes

Christian Bale issued an apology for his profanity filled tirade on the movie set of Terminator Salvation. Bale called in to KROQ on Friday to issue the apology on the Kevin and Bean Show. Bale said:
“It’s been a miserable week for me."
"Listen, I know I have a pottymouth, everybody knows that now, but I understand this is live, so please don’t worry, I will behave."
"The thing that I really want to stress is that I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order, beyond belief. I was way out of order. I acted like a punk. I regret that and there is nobody that has heard that tape that it’s hit harder by it than me. So I make no excuses for it. It is inexcusable and I hope that is absolutely clear.”
“One thing that has really disturbed me throughout this, because I’m not familiar, I’m comfortable yet with this notion of being a movie star. I’m an actor and I’m don’t quite know how to handle the movie star thing. The thing that disturbs me so much is that I’ve heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think I’m better than anybody else."
"I’m embarrassed by it. I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, have they ever had a bad day and have they ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely."
"Feel free to make fun of me at my expense; I deserve it completely."
We can tell Bale believes people are making a lot out of this just because he’s a big movie star now, but he’s missing the point entirely. Bale’s mother and sister had him arrested for verbal assault because of the same temper. He needs counseling to understand how to control his behavior, so he can keep himself from being triggered into a rage. Next time his behavior could cost him his career, or he could be arrested again and lose his freedom.
Get help rather than excuse this all on being famous. It’s not enough to say you have a problem, and then do nothing to correct it.

I agree kaddie.
However, I must say, unless we (the public, including myself) have degrees on this sort of thing, ie therapy, psychology and the like or were there when this incident occured, should not pass judgement. He apologized to the guy and the cast/crew minutes after it happened, which is not being said in the media. That says something, in my opinion, for his character. He knew he was wrong and crossed the line. He snapped and he knew it. And may I say, this happened 7 months ago.

I agree, however I missed where you said this to the latest controversy with swimmer Michael Phelps.
The pot incidence is his 2ND DRUG infraction. The first was when he was arrested for drunk driving.
If Bale should get help, then the same needs to be said of Phelps.
