Chris Brown May Stay Out of Jail

Although Chris Brown was arrested for hitting Rihanna, he isn’t scheduled to appear in court until March 5th, and until then he may try to get plea bargain deal to avoid a trial.
If he pleads no contest to misdemeanor battery, he may be slapped with only 2 years of probation, fines, enrollment in a domestic violence treatment program, and attendance to counseling sessions. He should just start the counseling and other programs now to show the court he is intent on getting his anger under his control.
Brown has been quickly losing support as reports of Rihanna’s injuries are coming in. Brown cancelled a string of events associated with the NBA All-Star Game this weekend in Phoenix. The events included an All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday, and introducing the players of the All-Star Game with Phoenix Suns star Shaquille O’Neal on Sunday. There is also a concert on Saturday at Club Rain in Scottsdale that was scheduled.
Brown also had his Got Milk? ad campaign cancelled with the rep saying:
"The Milk Mustache campaign is taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously. We are very proud and protective of the image of the Milk Mustache campaign and the responsible message it sends to teens. Mr. Brown’s ad was launched last fall and is scheduled to end this week."
The ad says, "Teens who drink milk tend to be leaner and the protein helps build muscle." That extra muscle could be your own worse enemy however, if you don’t know how to control your anger.
A radio station in Cleveland, WAKS FM 96.5, also stopped playing Chris Brown songs. Java Joel, the station’s evening host, said in a press release issued by Clear Channel:
"After the alleged incident the phones exploded. It’s all that people wanted to talk about. They were outraged at this alleged behavior and wondered why we were continuing to support his music. I agreed and immediately pulled all Chris Brown songs from my show until this thing shakes out in the legal system."
Following Joel’s lead the station’s program director, Bo Matthews, decided to pull Brown’s music off from the station entirely. Matthews said:
"It appears that Chris has made some poor choices, we are following the lead of our listeners, and we will not be supporting Chris Brown on 96.5 Kiss FM in Cleveland until the alleged situation gets resolved."
Early reports said that Brown exploded after Rihanna took the keys for his Lamborghini from the ignition and threw them on the ground and he couldn’t find them. Reports say Brown go so made he told Rihanna:
"I’m going to kill you!"
Now however The New York Daily News reports:
"He got a booty call. He got a text. Rihanna saw it and she got upset. They started to argue. She got out of the car. He wanted her to get back in, so he grabbed her. She pulled away. That’s when she’s told people he hit her."
Cops responding to a 911 call found her with a split lip and contusions on either side of her forehead. "She looked distraught and in a lot of pain. Her eyes were closed because she was looking down," a police source (said). The Daily News spoke to a witness Tuesday who heard the raucous fight explode outside her house: "I heard the screaming. It was loud," the homeowner said.
Pictures showed up on the Internet last night claiming to be of a badly beaten Rihanna, but they were fake. No pictures of her injuries have surfaced yet. A mug shot of Brown will not be released, because of a rule based on the fact Brown was arrest in the city of Los Angeles rather than an outlying area.
An inside source says, "Chris has been trying to contact her. So far she hasn’t taken his call. Her family is on their way to be with her. She has some close girlfriend looking after her."
What Brown needs to do right now is accept his relationship with Rihana is OVER, and get into a program that can help him get control over his anger.
Reports say Brown’s step father was very abusive. Brown avoided getting arrested one evening after yelling and throwing dishes when he got into a fight with his mother at a hotel. Police let it go however, after Brown paid the bill and left the hotel.
The weekend fight with Rihanna wasn’t the first time either. Rihanna’s freinds told US weekly Rihanna had visible bruises on her neck, and when they asked about them she said:
"We broke up again."
Brown’s sister talked to Extra in an effort to defend her brother saying:
"He’s always been a good boy, never violent."
We believe Brown is a good person 99.999% of the time. It’s in that one moment when a person’s anger is triggered by an emotional event they lose control and hurt someone. For that Brown needs a good program and some counseling to learn some self control in his weakest moments. Like so many others, Brown has a family history that influences his behavior under stress. We hope he gets the help he needs to be successful controlling his anger, so his future relationships don’t end with another violent outburst.
