Charice Pempengco Sings Better than Dreamgirls
Posted on October 26, 2007 at 11:15 am (PST)A 15-year-old Filipina named Charice Pempengco has proven me right once again. Filipinas sing better than black girls in my opinion. Charice performed a Dreamgirls song And I Am Telling You, which won Jennifer Hudson an Oscar, only Charice did it better. I’m certain Pedophiles who roam the Internet will agree, if not just for the fact this is a 14 year-old girl in a skirt. The most touching part is that Charice changed the words - from “You’re the best man I’ve ever known†to “You’re the best MOM I’ve ever known.†Mom must be so proud of her little Diva.
See the after performance interview with Charice, and more singing by clicking the link below. She’s amazing.

Who sang it better?
Another example of the voice of an Angel is 100% Filipina Lea Salonga. In the video below Lea auditions for Miss Saigon. You might also remember her in Aladdin (1992) singing the voice of Princess Jasmine. It’s true blacks are good singers, but for my musically trained ear, Filipinas have one of the most beautiful voices on the planet. Blacks commenting here should listen to music from around the world before commenting. There are many great voices besides black voices. Take some time to appreciate other cultures outside of your own. I’m not trying to say blacks don’t have good voices, but I am saying Charice has a better voice than Jennifer Hudson. For me it’s the voice as well as the approach to the song. Black girls sing from their soul, but Filipinas sing from their heart. That’s how I see it. Nothing against the talented black girls out there.
Lea’s wedding is below to her husband Robert Chien.

Ok I’d just like to add one more thing. I think what the author of this piece should have said is that fillipina’s can sing just as well as anyone else and that would have been fine. They desreve to be proud of Charice. Black people and white people have had stars on the worldwide stage for years and it is about time that asian singers get the same recognition too.

Also I would just like to add than I am biracial and whilst I was annoyed by the comments this has in no-way turned me against Charice. I think there probably are great fillipina singers out there but we probably never get to hear them, it was only by chance I stumbled across charice.
And for those that said she is a cheap imitator you are very wrong give the girl some credit it is due. She is only 14 but she still blew me away not for her age just becuase of her voice it is amazing and she is only gonna get better.

Come on why do you have to say filipinas sing better than black girls. I havent heard many fillipinas to compare but all I know is that Charice is amazing, She is the future. In time I think she will take over the mantle from the greats like Mariah and Whitney if she gets the right people behind her. And for the record she blew Jennifer Hudson away.

why don’t we just appreciate Charice and leave the bashing behind. I agree that Charice has better version but i think that the racial comparison as a whole is totally inappropriate. Yes, we Filipinos are very talented and i’m very proud of it. but please let us not take the fact that Blacks also has great influences on our singers. yes, we imitate everyone. not just blacks but also whoever we think is great without looking at the race, sex, or age. its just that we Filipinos have so much competitive spirit that we tend to be better.
Asians, white, blacks, regarding of what race you are, what is important is that we all appreciate a good talent and that is what Charice is.

I just noticed that no matter what good comment you put in here and try to make peace, aLim has a very nasty comments and very unprofessional. I think aLim is an immature retarded person who doesn’t know what is right and wrong. I think if Charice finds out that this site became full of hate because of a certain aLim, she will definitely hate aLim for life. Dude, you are not standing for all filipinos and I hate for you to stand for me because you are an embarrassment to all of us and to all races. You are the scam of the earth. Go Power Charice, aLim die die die die…

why can’t a filipino like tom appreciate his own people’s talents instead of pretending to like it but idolizes more black talents. shame on you. this is why they intimidate your kind because you can’t stand up for your own race. if you kiss butt just to be liked by the people you idolize, then enjoy and don’t call yourself a filipino because you are a disgrace to them. i just like to see tom stand up for his people when intimidated just like the black people who are out in full force defending their idols from being bashed by filipinos. got my point? otherwise just keep your garbage opinion to your f**king self and STFU.

By the way, I’m Filipino Canadian and proud to be a filipino. I was happy when somebody showed me on youtube Charice Pempengco’s performance and I was very proud that a 15 filipina girl was able to impressed the world. What I’m not impressed is the comment of the person who owns this site about filipino’s better singer than blacks. Please don’t get it over your head. You are jeopardizing Charice’s fame because instead of black people liking Charice, they are going to hate her because of your stupid remark. I know where you are coming from where filipino talents are not getting much attention. Well, Charice got attention from Ellen so that is a start. I think what you should do is apologize here about your comment and please remain humble. A humble person always recognizes his or her mistake. To all people who were offended with this person’s remark, please I apologize as a filipino and I guess this person just got too excited and wasn’t thinking right. Peace to all filipinos and black people. Happy New Year

I am a black girl and i think
Charice has a very beautiful voice. Another little girl song the same song on the show America’s got talent and one a million dollars and she was white. They both sang it beautifully. The black people that left commemts saying that we are superior in music are just ignorant people and the Fillapins who say that they sing better are also ignorant. The comment that Charice sings better than Jenifer Hudson is not true at all. Charice’s voice is nothing but an immulation or a copy of Jenifer Holiday. i AM NOT SAYING THAT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM HER SINGING BUT THAT IS THE TRUTH. She was very appreciative to be able to sing here in America on the Ellen Show and she is also very much loved here as well as there. I hope the comments dnt continue to put other races down or put down Charice or Jenifer Hudson.

my ultimate dream is for the filipino artists to get the recognition they rightfully deserve.HUNDREDS OF THOUSAND of young filipinos her age(EVEN YOUNGER) have the same caliber as charice,NO KIDDING and who knows, maybe even better, i just regret the fact that they lack opprtunuties.MY DREAM IS FOR THE PHILIPPINES TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED AS COUNTRY OF GREAT TALENT,i hope international studies and surveys have their way on it.i happen to think that all filipinos love to sing, 25% of them are really great singers, the 70% can carry a tune well and 5 percent are frustrated singers(but still loves to sing every moment of their lives)
