Let’s not forget…it was our hard earned American dollars that fattened these generous millionaires’ wallets to begin with…it is up to them how they spread their philanthropic will, but it would be nice if they started at home…regardless of timelines.

Where do you think these 14 kids are gonna end up? Pretty sad to create babies for financial gain…when most of us have to trim our family sizes due to financial constraints…but in our bail out media nation, why wouldn’t someone be completely irresponsible and hope that the rest of us take up the slack?
  • Jessica Simpson Has Another Breakdown On Stage
Wow…what is this world coming to when a performer is now the average size of the American woman…maybe she’s a 12, so what? Slam her talent, sure…her lack of professionalism or emotional stability…if she’s a ‘dough boy’, where does that leave the bulk of American women?

this is exactly how i feel….i knew …knew…that no celebs would help out texas with the hurricane….why? because there is no publicity for them…no one cares about southeast texas we arent as big of a tourist town as NEW ORLEANS is….thats where your politicians and celebs like to visit..of course they want to help rebuild it…so what does this tell you about celebs;singers ect….that any of there help they give is all selfishly motivated…all publicity……

There really seems to be a problem in communication here. The residents of the Texas Gulf coast are hurting. Most of the help has been internal-neighbor helping neighbor, town helping town. Thank goodness for the hundreds of linemen from many states and Canada working around the clock to restore power that was originally out to over 3 million people. Also the Red Cross and local food banks stepped in to provide food, water and ice. Churches have opened their doors, giving out clothing, toys, household furnishings and much more.
What is not understood is the scope of the damage and the need that is enormous. We are not just talking about Houston and Galveston but dozens of smaller towns and cities that have been devastated. Even places 200-300 miles inland lost power and had wind damage.
The people in this area are understandably puzzled as to why there is not continued coverage in national media bringing attention to the plight of so many regardless of color or race. It’s like after the initial onslaught, we fell off the radar. Where are all the celebrities who are Texas born? We could use some of the attention from them that many Louisiana celebrities gave to New Orleans. These guys could show their support of their fellow Texans by passing out food, hauling debris, giving an encouraging word and raising money for the victims, of course. Because of the overwhelming response of government resources for Katrina, the funds are depleted and it is difficult to get needed temporary funds, housing, and money to rebuild. Please do not think that people have their hands out for no reason. Some small beach towns no longer exist or uninhabitable at this time. Jobs have vanished along with homes and wordly possessions. These people need to feel that they are not forgotten.
    Texas needs your help.

There are so many celebrities from Texas, where
are they? So many actors in Hollywood are only
helping people in places that are predominantly
black, I guess it’s not cool to help white people.
It’s so sad that Americans always lend a helping
hand to other countries but no one helps them
when they need it.Matt Damon, why don’t you help
your fellow Americans too, they watched your movies, they made you rich ,show some appreciation!

  4. Tam says:

FYI Galveston and Houston have a very large minority population. Houston is only about 40 percent white. I know that because I live here.

If I recall correctly, there were many people from New Orleans that also moved to Texas, and may now be facing a whole new disaster from another hurricane. All Texans are Americans, and they all deserve the help level of help that those of New Orleans have received.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Cody the canadian… I don’t see canada helping anyone. How convenient to write about America and be critical while your live in a country that does NOTHING.

  7. Cody says:

    this is stupid…

  8. Amen.... says:

I say Amen again to HG!

  9. AussieD says:

Did you stop and think HG that your country is one of the richest countries on the face of the planet, where as Ethiopia, Haiti etc are poor nations and need help from the other countries to get through these kind of disaters. How about taking a big drink from the fountain of knowledge before you write shiet like this. Kudos to Matt Damon and other celebrities that puts their hand in their pocket to help those countries less fortunate.

    ***HG says***

Just because America has earned its fat wallet, doesn’t mean we somehow have to setup a welfare system for other countries while our own people are also in need. America first, the rest of the world second. I’m sure other countries have the same policy. In fact, the United Nations, and the rest of the world, remind America daily how much other countries hates us, even though we do so much for everyone around the world. Giving hasn’t made anyone like or appreciate America. The rest of the world acts like a bunch of ungrateful spoiled brats that expect a handout because America has been successful as a result of our way of life. I’m all for helping others, but I don’t want an American to have to wait in line for help behind another country’s citizen. America’s money should help American’s first.

  10. ale says:

Are you kidding me? Seriously-Haiti has been hit with FOUR hurricanes, and you’re complaining because they aren’t there for a hurricane that JUST hit this weekend?? It has nothing to do with black or white-Haiti needs more help right now. Screw you for making them seem like the bad guys for actually WANTING to help.

    ***HG says***

Like John McCain says, “America first.”

  11. Shut up. It’s their money, let them spend it how they want. Hollywood grind just has their panties in a bunch because Matt Damon nailed Sarah Palin’s position on the head. Shame on you for dogging him for being in Haiti helping others. I’m sure he called Ike first and asked how much damage he would be doing to Texas. Redeem yourself before you are standing at the red, fiery gates wondering how in the heck you got there!!

  12. OMG says:

These celebrities make me sick! I think everyone, including our federal government should focus on America. To hell with Africa! To hell with Iraq! To hell with Georgia!

We need efforts focused on our country.
