Casey Johnson Died from Diabetic Related Ketoacidosis

The Los Angeles County Coroner announced that Casey Johnson (30) died from Ketoacidosis related to her insulin dependent diabetes. Although the coroner ruled the death as “natural causes,” it seems obvious it was slow suicide.

Casey was an insulin dependent diabetic. She developed a condition called ketoacidosis because she wasn’t injecting herself with insulin, and probably wasn’t checking her blood sugar either. As the blood sugar levels rise Casey would start to urinate ketones, and as the process continued her blood would become thick with sugar, because there is no insulin to transport that sugar into cells to be used as energy, and her blood became more and more acidic. All together ketoacidosis will produce multi system, and multi organ failure, which includes severe swelling of the brain, which all becomes irreversible at some point. Casey had been hospitalized twice before for ketoacidosis so she knew what would happen.

Since Casey knew as a fact that she would die if she did not inject insulin daily based on her blood sugar levels, it is safe to assume this was a slow suicide. Tila Tequila had been fighting with Casey, and refused to give Casey her dogs back, among other things, so it is safe to assume that Casey depression caused by the trouble Tila was causing played a factor in Casey choices that led to her death in my opinion.

Casey could have chosen to surround herself with positive people, but her drug addiction, and negative self perception led her to surround herself with negative people like Tila Tequila. In the end, Casey’s legacy is one of negativity, and an adopted daughter Ava who is now living with Casey’s estranged family.

After Casey’s death Tila Tequila talked to anyone who would listen about her relationship with Casey, which actually played a factor in Casey’s demise in my opinion. Tila surrounds herself as well with negative influences, and now Tila is pregnant with her brother’s baby, and she says she intends to raise the child in her negative environment. We already know this child’s future.
