Carson Daly, who is not a member of the Writers Guild, will begin taping new episodes of his Burbank-based show this week for airing next week. Support the writers, don’t watch Last Call airs at 1:35 a.m. EST weeknights until the strike is over. Did you know writers only get $0.04 per DVD sold, and studios get $17 profit? Writers have asked for $0.08 in the latest contract, plus money from anything done on the Internet. In my opinion writers should get paid a lot more than they are asking. The writers will never get what they deserve if they keep asking for so little. The writers need a tougher union leader who will ask for ten times more. Actors may not make as much money if writers get paid appropriately, but that is as it should be.
