Candy Spelling, Aaron Spelling’s widow, has quietly put the Spellings’ legendary mansion on the market for $150 million.
Sources in the real estate industry say Westside Estate Agency (WEA) has a pocket listing on the 56,000 square foot estate, meaning it is is quietly being shopped among realtors and select buyers. The mansion, located in the exclusive Holmby Hills area of L.A., was completed in 1991 for around $47 million, which includes $10 million for the land.
One real estate source says Candy Spelling has let a lot of people on the staff go, and that the buzz is that she is going to shut the house down, so it can be shown by realtors. Aaron Spelling died on June 23.
Whatever happened to keeping it in the family? It just goes to show you how much Candy Spelling cares about Aaron Spelling, his legacy, his life’s work, and how cold she really is. So much for the grieving process.
Remember what Tori Spelling said about her mother NOT calling her when her father died? Candy’s current behavior lends credibility to what Tori claims.

The man died less than two weeks ago. What’s the hurry? It would seem she’s looking to cash in asap, without even taking the time to reflect on her life with her husband.
I completely disagree!! After watching ones husband be ill and die it is not uncommon to want leave behind the house that they shared together. Why? Because it is too painful to live in the place they built together. My Mom as well as my husband’s mother both did the same thing. They just needed to NOT be constantly reminded of what they just loss. Candy selling the house does NOT give Tori any credibility. And Aaron Spelling was NOT his house!! He was a brilliant television executive, a husband, a father, and presumably to many, a devoted friend. The house–it’s just bricks & mortar.
