California Supreme Court Upholds Proposition 8

The California Supreme Court today announced their decision to uphold Proposition 8.
Proposition 8 is now an amendment to the California State Constitution that defines marriage as "between a man and a woman." This was approved by the majority of voters in California, and is the second time voters voted, and approved a proposition on a marriage definition for the state. The first vote was overturned by liberal democrat judges who legislated from the bench, opposing the will of the majority of California voters.
The court did allow 18,000 gay marriages that were finalized, before Proposition 8 was voted into law, to remain legal.
Finally the minorities were not able to rule the majority.
