Maybe the reason why she keeps screwing up is because NOBODY leaves this poor girl alone. We are not all perfect. She was an awesome performer and I am not saying that last night was good, because we all know it wasn’t. Don’t you think if we left her alone and stopped telling her how much of a horrible person she is, and how much she sucks at whatever, she can focus on other things in life and become better at what she does. So many like to point fingers, but Nobody is laughing or writing stories about how retarded Alisha Keys looked. What the hell

LeighAnn, thats because Alicia Keys actually has talent.

and please, let’s stop with the sob stories about how britney is soooo misunderstood. she agreed to perform on the show. if she was going to be such sh!t she shouldn’t have done it. but, she chose to half-a$$ed perform and do a crappy job at that, so everyone is justified in giving their opinions.

the only thing better than watching britney embarrass herself was watching the crowd notice her half-a$$ed effort just as i was.

Actually 50 was looking up at the dancer in his table during the performance. I doubt he even knew BS was on stage at this point.

If Brit is trying to destroy her career, she’s doing a wonderful job. Perhaps not bothering to practice for her performance has something to do with her doing badly. Maybe she’s just so out of shape and messed up that she’s convinced herself all she has to do is arrive and everyone will be Wowed by her presence? The number itself didn’t seem to be anything difficult, but she actually looked like she’d forgotten how to walk in heels! And I’m sorry but she should know the words to her own songs well enough to lip sync them… She should never have agreed to do the set if she wasn’t going to put forth an honest effort.

All you who say “poor Brit”, get a f-ing clue. Brit is a low-life in-bred that got lucky many years ago, and now it’s time for her to fade to black. Just Fade to Black Brit - it’s all over. Go back to your swamp, drop the kids off at the folks, and go suck down your wheat juice.

I’m certainly no Spears fan and that was an awful awful performance last night, but i agree with leighann. Everyone needs to back off britney a bit. If you’re told your useless by enough people for long enough then you can’t help but start to believe it.
I never thought i would say this but i actually feel bad for her!

I really don’t know what is more discusting, Britney’s performance or the idiots defending her. She is a has been and will never recover from her foolish irresponsible stunts. She has proven she is not fit to entertain and she is not a fit parent and should have those children removed from her care immediately before she hurts them as badly mentally as she has hurt herself and the public. Has nothing to do with where she is from but who she has become. If she doesn’t like people talking bad about her then stop behaving like she does and stop enabling her by making sick sick excuses for her. She does what she does because she is a rich spoiled wretch that thinks she knows it all and does what she wants. Shes told she is useless because she is useless.

ok so anybody who feels ‘bad’ for britney needs to reevaluate how she came to her current position in the first place. first of all, nobody FORCED her to become a drunken, commando mental case. she started out successful nd she let all that money nd attention get to her head. noboby FORCED her to marry federline, nobody FORCED her to have kids, nd its apparent that nobody forced her to practice for that performance. i mean im sure she had a mirror backstage, so i dont see how she came out wearing that. shes not FAT and im not pro anorexia but a shiny black bikini wusnt necessary. so i dontfeel bad for her, she brought this on herself.

I feel bad for her. No woman in her right mind would go on stage this way. I would blame “her people” but it seems as though she fires anyone who stands up to her and tells the truth. I could be wrong (and jaded) but I think she CAN make a comeback. Her fans’ standards are very low and their attention spans are short. But Britney, you have to get it together: 1. Get back to Church 2. Get counseling 3. Listen to people who know more than you do! If they say, “Work Out”… do it. “Wear this”… wear it. “Practice this”… practice!!! I know you want to “be yourself,” but it’s not working. Be yourself in private. On the VMAs stage, you need to bring your A game. Otherwise, it’s like saying F U to your fans. And they deserve much better. And I’m not hating. I hope you get well soon.
