JANUARY 1, 2007: Britney allegedly collapses at Pure nightclub during New Year’s Eve festivities.

According to the New York Post and the New York Daily News, Spears collapsed in the VIP area of Pure nightclub in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve and needed to be helped from the nightclub just before 1 a.m.

Before she’s escorted out of Pure, Spears counts down to midnight inside the club, yelping, “Happy f-king New Year. What happens in Vegas always stays in Vegas!” Then, says a witness, she heads upstairs to the club’s balcony and drinks out of a Dom Pérignon bottle.

Meanwhile, Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, tells the Associated Press, "She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep."

JANUARY 4, 2007: Britney parties in LA.

Spears brings her demo CD while hitting up Chateau Marmont and club Area.

JANUARY 5, 2007: Britney announces her “freedom” to fans via her Web site — and downs some apple martinis, too.

Spears reaches out to her fans from her web site, writing, “The last couple of years have been quite a ride for me, the media has criticized my every move and printed a skewed perception of who I really am as a human being,” she wrote in a letter posted Friday.

She also acknowledged her impending divorce from husband of two years Kevin Federline. “I am now more mature and feel like I am finally ‘free,’” she said.

The 25-year-old mother of two further went on to acknowledge the impending demise (January 31, 2007) of one of her biggest fan sites, WorldofBritney.com: “I want you all to know that I do understand all the reasons that went behind making that decision, and I am sad to see it closing.”

Later that evening, the popstar goes out for dinner and drinks (apple martinis) at West Hollywood restaurant Dolce, then heads to club Les Deux for dancing. As she walks out of Dolce, Spears is overheard repeating the mantra, "I love myself, I love myself."

JANUARY 8, 2007: Spears and new boy toy Isaac Cohen canoodle at the bar.

Britney and new boyfriend Isaac Cohen are seen “making out in front of everyone” at the Whiskey Blue lounge at the W Hotel in LA’s Westwood neigborhood. (The next morning they left the hotel together.)

JANUARY 10, 2007: Britney visits Skybar.

The popstar dines with pals at Il Sole, then heads over to the Skybar at the Mondrian Hotel in LA for some vodka tonics. “She sat on the patio and was in a great mood,” says an eyewitness.

JANUARY 11, 2007: Britney hangs with her drinking buddy/boyfriend again.

Spears and Cohen spend an evening “drinking and talking” at Sideways Restaurant & Lounge in LA.

JANUARY 12, 2007: Britney and boyfriend, still partying.

A lollipop-sucking Spears hits LA based clubs Abbey and Teddy’s with Cohen. Paps snap the hard-partying mom outside Teddy’s, possibly mid-regurgitation. Cohen is seen with mysterious peanut butter-like substance on his hands afterwards.

JANUARY 13, 2007: Britney blows into Vegas.

Britney and her boy toy check into the Palms hotel, attend a Prince concert and party at Piranha’s afterparty for the Hustlaball.

JANUARY 14, 2007: Britney returns to Pure.

Just weeks after her New Year’s Eve debacle at Las Vegas’ Pure nightclub, Brit is back in action, partying at the same place where she had previously collapsed.

JANUARY 21, 2007: Britney’s Aunt Passes Away.

Spears and sons attend her aunt’s funeral near her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana. Sandra Bridges Covington, 59, passed away from breast cancer. Covington was the older sister of Britney’s mother Lynne Spears, 51. She returns to LA five days later.

FEBRUARY 3, 2007: Britney heads to the Big Apple.

Spears hits New York City hotspot Tenjune for a Men.Style.com party at 2 a.m. She just misses fellow Justin Timberlake ex Cameron Diaz by an hour.

FEBRUARY 7, 2007: Britney and Isaac Cohen Break Up.

Usmagazine.com learns that the partying pair have decided to split after a month of dating. “They realized they’re better off as friends,” Cohen’s pal Yaniv Fituci tells Us. “There was no big drama. It was never more than just hooking up.”

Britney parties that night with former ‘NSyncer JC Chasez at Marquee in New York City.

FEBRUARY 10, 2007: Britney tosses her cookies at Tenjune.

Brit boycotts the music industry’s most important night, declaring, “F-k the Grammys!” into a live microphone behind the DJ booth at Tenjune. After a few too many rounds of Malibu Rum and Cokes, her week-long New York visit hits rock bottom when she throws up on herself inside her SUV.

Spears is later seen heading into club One. She borrows a dancer’s bikini and a chef’s coat for cover up before leaving the club.

FEBRUARY 12, 2007: Britney drinks bubbly in Miami.

After partying in New York City, Spears heads south to the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami with her boys. Though she originally planned to stay a week, Britney unexpectedly cut her trip short on the night of Valentine’s Day after drinking one glass of champagne from a bottle of Dom Perignon that she ordered to her room, says a source.

FEBRUARY 14, 2007: Britney’s former assistant urges her to “get help.”

Felicia Culotta, the 41-year-old former assistant to Britney Spears sends a heartfelt plea to her old boss to get back on track. An excerpt from Culotta’s letter reads: “I cherish ALL the incredible opportunities that came my way thru my job with Britney and am crushed/saddened/heart sick by the way her life is unfolding…I want you to know that WE (as in her Family and nearest and dearest-ALL of whom are NOT on the payroll anymore!!) are doing EVERYTHING in our power to get help for Britney…”

FEBRUARY 15, 2007: Britney goes to rehab — for a day.

The 25-year-old mother of two checks into Antigua’s Crossroads Centre, a rehab facility founded by musician Eric Clapton, but checks out the following day. She flies back to LA from Miami on an American Airlines flight, surprising fellow passengers by sitting in the last row of coach class.

FEBRUARY 17, 2007: Britney goes bald.

Britney Spears stages a now infamous shave-a-thon at Esther’s Haircutting Studio in Tarzana, California, Esther Tognozzi, owner of the salon, tells Usmagazine.com that after Britney shaved off all her hair, "She just looked in the mirror and said with tears in her eyes, ’Oh, my God, I shaved it all off. My mom is going to be so upset with me.’"

Next, Spears continued on her rebellious jag, getting two tattoos at Body & Soul Tattoo in Sherman Oaks. Britney proceeded to get a black-white-and-pink cross tattooed on her lower hip and red-and-pink lips on her wrist. An employee says Britney arrived at the parlor agitated. "She wasn’t making sense at all and you could tell she’s not in a good place at all, and that she is totally freaking out." When asked why she shaved her head, replied, "I don’t want anyone touching me. I’m tired of everybody touching me."

FEBRUARY 18, 2007: Britney bonds with her father, then parties once more — now sporting a blonde wig.

Spears quickly resurfaces in public again after her head shaving stunt.

Over an early dinner at Stevie’s Creole Cafe in Encino, Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, pleaded with his daughter (who wore a blonde wig) to enter treatment.

"Jamie just told Britney how much he loves her and that he wants her to get help," says s source. "He told her that he’s afraid for her safety and that she needs to take a look at her life and make some major changes or everything is going to get worse. Britney listened to her father and nodded, but was very serious."

Later that night, she is spotted outside the Roxy nightclub in West Hollywood still wearing her wig and a ridiculous pair of shades.

FEBRUARY 20, 2007: Britney enters rehab, again.

Britney Spears checks herself into an in-patient rehab facility, Promises, manager Larry Rudolph confirms.
