Brad Garrett Cleared of Paparazzi Assault Charge

Brad Garrett will not face charges when he appeared on video to have assaulted a paparazzi on November 11 outside Dan Tana’s restaurant. The district attorney said it was the paparazzi who "initiated contact … outside a West Hollywood restaurant" and then "attempted to provoke a violent reaction from Garrett by using hostile and derogatory language."
Prosecutors acknowledged that while Garret and the photographer both made physical contact with each other, they believed the behavior was not enough to warrant a criminal case.
"In light of the surrounding circumstances, the interests of justice do not support the filing of criminal charges."
It’s tough to keep one’s cool when surprised with a frustrating situation, but not keeping one’s cool can result in a criminal conviction.
