Bette Midler Goes After Lady Gaga for Stealing

Lady Gaga recently had her YouTube channel taken down due to copyright infringement, which should be no surprise. Last week in Sydney, Australia Gaga rolled out on the stage in a mermaid outfit and in a wheelchair. The audience responded by throwing eggs at her after the show.

The original mermaid in a wheelchair, Bette Midler, didn’t get the same angry reaction from fans, but she did have an angry reaction of her own to Lady Gaga’s stealing of her act. She tweeted:

"I’ve been doing singing mermaid in a wheelchair since 1980 – You can keep the meat dress and the firecracker tits – mermaid’s mine."

It used to bother me that Gaga would say her creativity was original. I’m not a fan of liars.
