Obama has less experience or credentials than Palin. He has not completed his 2 year term in Congress, and out of the 187 or so days he was acting like a senator, only 82 were not spent campaigning. So if you support Obama, you are supporting someone whose resume is rather sparse, indeed. And Palin was GOVERNOR of Alaska, not just a mayor of some podunk town. Obama should have Biden make the quips about a candidate’s experience, or lack thereof, as he is certainly the last person to talk. This selection may be the election in a nutshell. 30% of Hilary Clinton’s supporters said they would not vote for Obama. McCain was likely to get half that number as a protest vote, the other half helping him in not voting at all. By selecting Palin, he will probably garner more than 15% disenfranchised Clintonites. As close as the past two elections have been, that may put him over the top. Palin also shores up McCain’s base. Not good for the black Jesus.

The utter disregard for truth or understanding among the Left is alarming. The whole canard about Palin censoring or wanting to censor books is rubbish. All the Left requires for it to gin up its attack dogs is for one person to stand up and point a finger. That is precisely what happened here. One pathetic librarian, a former hippie, claimed Palin had a book list with censorship in mind. That’s it. Upon examination, the slavering media found it to be unfounded. That’s right, a media bent on ripping the Gov. to shreds (but not conducting one credible investigation in Black Jesus’ dubious resume) came away with nothing, yet that doesn’t phase those esteemed literatie on the Left. Back in the first Persian Gulf War, when Powell was the military attache to the White House and spokesperson to the media, he was the one who counseled against going into Baghdad and ending everything then and there. Bush and Schwarzkopf wanted to wrap everything up once and for all, but Powell persuaded them with an argument that the streetfighting and body count that would ensue would turn the public against the Administration with an election looming. It is because of Powell that Saddam had over a decade to regroup and rebuild, it is because of his “advice” that we had to re-invade years later. And contrary to your post, he wasn’t critical or “forced” to give his WMD testimony before the UN. He was sidelined because under him the State Department became an entity unto its own, often undercutting the very President who gave him his office. Was it not Richard Armitage, Powell’s number two at the Pentagon, who was the one that leaked Valerie Plame’s name? That whole mess the liberal media pinned for months on end on the Bush Administration? And after years of benefitting from Republican patronage, what does Powell do? Bites the hand that feeds him. Do you honestly believe that a career soldier, a four-star general, would side politically with a man who never served and who has voted against the military every chance he got over a former POW, a longtime friend, and a senator that has done more for the VA than any other public official? Right. He’s just another brother supporting another brother, and I think his endorsement actually hurts Obama. Because that is precisely how the public at large will see this. Love how the Left demonized Powell when he was entrenched in the Bush Admin. Going so far as to call him an Uncle Tom. But now he is a wise and unbiased political sage. What a joke.

I’m not drinking the Obama KoolAid but I can’t get behind McCain/Palin…it just feels desperate and calculated. I do want a President that I feel is smarter than I am and neither McCain / Palin fit the bill…..oh and the shot at Obama for not calling to congratulate….McCain acknowledged his acceptance..not his VP choice…in fact ads slamming Biden aired within minutes of the announcement so get the facts right…..that is what I hate about politics these days….it’s not about the truth it’s about making weak minded people believe what you want them to believe
Governor Palin doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. McCain played a trump card there. Obama doesn’t seem to like women much and his comments lead me to believe that he thinks women are less intelligent then himself. His quick attack on Ms Palin shows his fear of this woman.
If Being a GOVERNOR is so superior to being a senator, doesn’t that make McCain less qualified to be President than Palin also? Boy, the GOP has really boxed themselves into a corner trying to defend this unqualified woman. I wonder if she could even pick out Iraq on a map? ACTUALLY, Palin has been in politics since 1992. She has boosted Alaska’s economy TREMENDOUSLY, and she has a 85+ percent approval rating.

Sounds to me like Obama is running scared from McCain’s pick. She is going to be VICE president so she can have less experience. McCain has plenty. Obama is going to be PRESIDENT and has NO EXPERIENCE. Why is he so concerned about a vp picks experience when she has more experience than he does. Get over it people he is not the second coming of Christ he is a POLITICIAN. Most of you are just voting for him because you think it makes you look hip voting for a black man.

He is great in that area. But the man lives and breathes criminal politician. Tony Rezko helped him buy his 5 million dollar house and property. Why shouldn’t Obama comment on McCain’s choice? It is a stupid choice. McCain’s camp keeps pointing to Obama’s experience, but then it pulls in some country bumpkin from Alaska, of all places.
As soon as I saw that she had five children, I knew there was a problem. There may be women out there who have decided against Obama, but there still are women who will not vote for McCain because he is not for abortion, and neither is his silly running mate.
McCain will probably kick it within the next couple of years, and then we will have a bigger idiot than Bush in the office. There is no way anyone in their right mind would want to have her in office making decisions . . . Oh wait, never mind. We had that idiot Reagan in office sleeping through meetings, so it probably won’t matter. I agree with Obama in this case. What in the world does McCain think a female from Alaska is going to do for the US when he falls over and dies from a heart attack??? He’s clearly not thinking about the US.
