A six-month-old baby boy survived being run over by a commuter train after its stroller rolled of the railway platform, and onto the track of an oncoming train. The baby boy only had a scratch on its head. The mother had forgot to apply the break, and then took her eyes off the stroller, which is when the incident happened.

The incident happened on Thursday at Ashburton railway station in Melbourne, Australia, was captured by CCTV.

John Rees, a spokesman for train operator Connex, told Australia’s Channel 7 television station:

"It’s a miracle this baby wasn’t killed. The baby managed to escape with just a cut to the forehead, I’m told. It’s a complete miracle."

Channel 7 said the incident came just a day after the launch of a public awareness campaign warning of the dangers of strollers on platforms.

Victoria state police sergeant Michael Ferwerda told Channel 7:

"Parents especially need to be vigilant especially with toddlers."

They forgot to add, and always lock the break on your stroller when you are going to take your hands off of it.
