Angelina Jolie Has No Patience for Whiny Starlets

Angelina Jolie looks great, doesn’t she?

Maybe that comment is too superficial for her, though.  She’d probably prefer we write about her efforts to help the tigers, but it’s this picture and the holier-than-thou comment that caught our eye.

In her interview with Esquire, featured in the July issue hitting newsstands today, Jolie apparently dished about the transformational experience that led her to abandon her spoiled, sun-kissed and navel-gazing ways forever.

But it seems the screen goddess doesn’t have much patience when it comes to the travails of superficial starlets.

Her global cause-seeking started after a visit to Sierra Leone in 2001 when she "realized how completely naive I was to think I had a difficult life. It was as if someone slapped me across the face and said, ‘Oh, my God, you silly young woman from California, do you have any idea how difficult the world really is for so many people?’ I got out of myself pretty quickly."

So, it just took some global travel sans five-star hotels for Jolie’s eyes to be opened to the plight of the less fortunate?

Poor Paris had to spend some time in the clink to be moved to help the world with life-size, sick-kid dollhouses and stuff.
