Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Confirm They Have Moved to New Orleans

Angelina Jolie said that she and Brad Pitt have moved their three children, Maddox,5, Zahara, 2, and 7-month-old Shiloh, to New Orleans. Wherever this couple goes Angelina it seems must feel she is the queen, so if it’s not a poor third world country with desperate people, then New Orleans which has poor people desperate to rebuild their lives.

“We love it there,” Jolie said at the Golden Globe Awards after confirming the move. “The kids are going to go to school there. We’re really looking forward to it.”

On January 12, just a day after moving to The Big Easy, Jolie was already mixing with the locals at restaurant Angeli on Decatur.

Diner Jorge Palacios said Jolie, clad in an ivory dress over white pants, blended right in: “No one at my table believed me when I told them it was her.” And that’s just what she wants. Jolie wants people to say "OMG it’s Angelina Jolie." It just makes her feel like she’s better than everyone else.

While Pitt works (he’s filming The Curious Case of Benjamin Button locally), sources say Jolie, 31, plans on being a low-key mom in the $3.5 million, six-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath mansion the pair recently purchased (their fourth house) in the French Quarter. Sounds like a low key $3.5 million dollar location. (chuckle)

“She’s interested in befriending normal moms so she can do things with the kids,” says a Jolie source. Jolie is not looking to befriend anyone who is as rich or well known as her, because then she won’t feel like she stands out.

And who can forget their humanitarian efforts? “Angelina has asked for places she can do charity work,” says the source, who adds that Jolie had inquired about a school for disadvantaged youth. And construction is set to start this month on the 20 environment-friendly homes Pitt, 43, jointly commissioned with Global Green USA. All of this is a good opportunity to do good, but it’s also where Jolie can get the most attention from people who look up to her.

The couple also hope to raise awareness for the region, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Says the source, “They think it is important to be there right now.” …And they know people who live there look up to them and view them as important people. The people who need help win, and the attention seeking couple wins.

Angelina was a bit cranky last night at the Golden Globe Awards, and everyone noticed. Why? Because Jolie wasn’t the most important person there. Jolie prefers to be the ONLY star being admired.

Below are some pictures of Pitt with Jolie, and with other stars.

What a mountain Seacrest has formed from a molehill. If this is what some people consider being “snubbed,” then I believe those people are perhaps a tad too dependant upon the constant attentions of others.

Based on the bitching I’ve heard, I was expecting to see Jolie stare down Seacrest, frown silently, and rudely ignore his questions.

Instead, I saw Seacrest ask a few ridiculous “how does it feel to be so famous” questions that Jolie took lightly (as she should), and moved away from at the earliest opportunity.

You may or may not like Angelina Jolie, but can you really blame her for her gentle dismissal of Seacrest, who’s interview was about as deep as a spray-on tan?

  3. Aha ye she is great, she is different not spending her money on clothes ( maybe because she has an army doing shopping for her so we don’t see the snapshots) or behaving like other hollywood institution’s patients because her contract with media bosses is about showing her wings, feeding blacks, spending money for people who are starving because of the world she wandering in, talking about human rights while abusing an alive mother’s right by snaching her daughter… She is a virus same as others and we caught her!

You’ve nailed it perfectly. To enhance her opinion of herself, she must feel superior, therefore she constantly surrounds herself with people who are more or less disadvantaged, or at least have much less than she perceives herself to have…it’s called “mental illness” Her father knows, and that is why she continues to keep him out of her life, and his grandchildren’s lives….remember?….he broke up his home over another woman…something Jolie vowed NEVER to do….sure, uh huh….ho

Isn’t it funny, the way some people aren’t justly criticized for failing to have any real, positive impact on the world, while others are vilified for choosing to do something (or rather, anything) with their time and money other than buy cars, clothes, and bling? What does a person have to do to be right, when they’re too recognizable to be able to do anything under the radar?

I don’t think Angelina was being snobbish, or thought she was “above it all”, I think she just was there in the “little woman” role, supporting her man, while not trying to garner more attention to herself. Like she didn’t want to steal Brad’s spotlight. DEFINITELY a step above her other awards/red carpet events behavior. Ryan Seacrest asked the stupidest questions (breakfast?????) I think I would have rolled my eyes at that, too. I think Angelina deserves a break here, she was just supporting her man, and his movie, and that’s all she did.
