Andrew Koenig Killed Himself

Former Growing Pains actor Andrew Koenig (41), son of Star Trek legend Walter Koenig, was found dead in Vancouver Park on Thursday after he committed suicide. Walter Koenig announced:

"My son took his own life. If you can’t handle it anymore, you know, if you could learn anything from this, is that there are people out there who really, really care."

Andrew had been suffering for years from depression. The pain Andrew’s family must be feeling is unimaginable. What a terrible tragedy it is when someone takes their own life. Emotional pain can be worse than physical pain, and it is often related to a lack of nutrients the body should be absorbing from our daily diet.

Although this won’t help everyone, it won’t hurt either. Many people start absorbing less B-12 in their diet around their late 30s, which can lead to depression, and chronic fatigue. A good quality sublingual pill placed under the tongue containing at least 1,000 mcg of cyanocobalamin and 400 mcg of folic acid (which also plays a role), can help decrease, or even cure depression for some people. Pregnant mothers are also advised to be sure to get enough B-12 and folic acid for their baby’s nerve development, especially the brain, but those same vitamins are needed through life.

For people who are very low on B-12, it can take up to 4 months for the liver to rebuild its reserves of B-12 before the full effect can be felt. Drugs aren’t always the answer, when vitamins can solve some of our problems without the toxic side effects. For the best vitamins and supplements at the best price I use and recommend Swanson Vitamins.
