Amy Winehouse Heart Problem

The Sun reports that Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat after she collapsed at home on Monday.

Amy remains in the hospital where doctors are trying to wean her off heroin. There is discussion about keeping her there involuntarily if she tries to leave, according to the report.

A doctor tells the paper:

"Crack narrows blood vessels and raises pressure. It is toxic to the heart muscle, causing an irregular beat. A heart attack is one of the most common ways for the drug to kill."

Amy either gets off drugs, or she dies. Hopefully she gets off drugs.

Doctors are also concerned Amy could have TB.

“She’d been been suffering horrible coughing fits and hurling up blood for a while but refused to be examined. Doctors now believe it is tuberculosis and are doing more tests to be certain.”

With Amy’s big weight loss, and the way she cares so poorly for herself, it would come as no surprise that she has TB. Statisitics say more than 10% of the population in Los Angeles has TB.

Amy’s rep., Chris Goodman, said:

“She has a chest infection and she had a routine test for TB, which came back negative.”

She dodged TB this time, but she still has the more concerning heart problem.
