Amanda Bynes Arrested for DUI

Amanda Bynes, who just turned 26 on April 3, was arrested around 3 AM for DUI after trying to pass a police car, and hitting it in the right rear with her black BMW, near Robertson Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles. Police said:

“There was minor paint transfer damage to both vehicles. Amanda Bynes was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.”

She was released from jail this morning on $5,000 bail.

Witnesses say they saw Bynes leaving Greystone Manor on March 17, 2012 looking extremely drunk, and warned the valet not to let her drive, but she jumped into her car and sped away. Now she’s parking in Lindsay Lohan’s spot at the jail.

Don’t say that crime doesn’t pay. Lindsay has made a bundle from selling photos and interviews. Amanda announced she quit acting, then three weeks later she started posting pictures for attention on Twitter (below). This arrest is welcome attention for Amanda, but if it’s not enough she can always shave her head and rob jewelry stores.
