  1. You Filipinos are hypocrites. You claim to be proud of where you come from but you are all just a bunch
Of illegal immigrants trying to get out of your crappy hole of a country and seek asylum in my country. Stay there you bloody immigrants and well all be happy. And you can stick your skanky mail order brides, I ain’t gonna help bring any more of you Asian diseased brownies get over here.

What can you say about this man, who is incapable of showing RESPECT? He didn’t respect his ex-wife, and his very own daughter. If he cannot even respect his own family or should I say “fellow Americans”…we cannot expect him to give some to us!

  3. Ghie says:

Although there are some truth about Filipinas gone thru to be a mail order bride even it’s against the law, no one have the right to make joke of something that will really hurt the nation concern. Mr Alec Baldwin is the last person I’m expecting these kind of stupid joke. Why don’t he try to make this kind of joke against Muslim, let’s see what he can get. If you other Filipinos can accept this tasteless joke, shame on you as well. They already know how hard our lives are, why do you have to rub it all the time.

For Mr Baldwin, how will you feel if I’ll make a bad joke about your family specially your daughter ? God bless America for what you people are going thru at the moment (crisis).

Now I realise why Arab countries hate you Americans because people like Mr Baldwin.

As for Mr Letterman, why are you keep on allowing this kind of sick jokes in your programme. If it is not from you, it’s from your guest. Don’t you have a script ? Remember what you said against Ms Columbia’s country the next day after you had her as your guest ? You should be careful about this kind of bad joke.

If Mr Baldwin will not apologise for this, better ban any programmes or movies with connection with him in the Philippines.

lemme break it down for you like this. i am a Filipino American with a white dad. My mom wasn’t ordered nor did she marry for citizenship. She wasn’t poor wanting to leave the Philippines. She was an independently successful business woman when she met my dad at a leadership summit. With remarks like Baldwins it makes it seem ok to make such comments towards all Filipino women, even those who don’t deserve it. I know as an American I wouldn’t like it if similar comments were made towards American women, or America.

I disagree that there’s no reason for anyone not to get offended, not everyone has the same views. people tend to get offended even with the slightest jokes especially regarding racism. blacks are offended when called niggers, huh? what are negros/ niggers anyway? they’re friggin the same… it’s black black black… what about chinks? they’re actually better description aren’t they? than associating Filipinas to just a bunch of baby makers, nannies etc… I know truth hurts but it isn’t necessary to facepalm it on em. I am slightly offended but hey it’s a joke but still…

  6. BR says:

Joke or no joke from Alec Baldwin, is a stupid thing to say especially on a national tv. But I find Revilla’s reaction more stupid. Why? Because the truth hurts!

  7. kapeesh says:

hollywood makes jokes all the time, just because we don’t always hear about our country this way (if at all) on the telly, doesnt mean we should just complain everytime something like this happens (how many times have you heard france jokes?).

it’s a reality really, we’re giving a wrong impression on the world, and whining about it whenever someone makes comments like this only makes things worse. Maybe if we just step up and all that cheesy crap, things’ll change, and so will people’s views.

  8. Cameron says:

Filps are the dumbest people on earth and this just proves it. There was absolutely no reason to be offended by this.

  9. vinsane01 says:

I wasnt offended by the comment. Why would filipinos be? There are lots of filipina women who marry foreigners to have a better life. So what’s the fuzz all about. Plus its a friggin’ joke and not intended to humiliate or dehumanize the filipinos. You dont hear the russians complaining about it, why would we be offended in general? Its a case of being too sensitive and too insecure IMO. And they just made it look worst than it should be. Now we have the attention of people who didnt even think of filipinas as such and now have the knowledge of it or have an idea of it, because of this unnecessary response.

  10. Matt says:

its just a joke. i mean they make jokes all the time about different countries its not just the philippines. im from the philippines and its completely harmless. its a joke! its not like the philippines is innocent on making remarks like that about other countries. move on washed up filipino “star”. ramon ravilla is an idiot and just wants to cause publicity. its completely stupid

  11. pinay says:

curse him.. that hurt a lot of filipinos, especially filipinas. maybe hollywood celebrities should think of what they have to say more often so they won’t step on anyone’s foot, or should i say a lot of feet.

  13. DJB says:

Unfortunately there is some truth to the comment and Filipina mail order brides are quite known here in the US. I don’t find any offense in what he said and Filipinos need to lighten up. FYI…I am Filipino (Pilipino po ako.)

  14. James says:

If someone wants to be a white guy’s baby maker, let it be. Do you really think everyone marries somebocy just for love?

  15. bLeu says:

The point is, he refers to Filipinas as what, a baby maker? I know it’s a joke but Alec wasn’t referring to giving a Filipina a better life but to make him a baby. Like you said, there are 2 good ways to get to US, and that is to WORK as a nurse, not some white guy’s baby maker
