Akon Fired by Verizon Over On Stage Molestation of 15 Year-Old Girl

When Hollywood Grind broke the Akon story on April 18, and posted the original video and pictures, of Akon molesting a 15 year-old girl in Trinidad, the fire storm over his inappropriate behavior was expected, but we never imagined he’d actually be held accountable for his actions.

The Prime Minister of Trinidad has condemned Akon’s behavior and police there are investigating whether charges should be filed. At the time of our first report, we questioned if Gwen Stefani would rethink taking Akon on tour with her. Gwen still went ahead touring with Akon, but to her credit, we’re not sure if she knew of the scandal. Gwen does now however. Verizon promoted Akon as one of the musicians on its mobile-phone music service, and said it would no longer sponsor the Gwen Stefani tour in which Akon, who recently performed on "American Idol," is the opening act. Akon is currently signed by Universal Music which has been aggressively trying to get the video evidence removed from web sites that copied it from Hollywood Grind.

Akon has a criminal record, and his sex acts onstage are routine. We found far more graphic footage of Akon in many videos from the last few months alone, one of which included Tara Reid.

Hollywood Grind had supporters to boycott Akon’s vulgar shows. Laura Ingram, Michelle Malkin, and today Dori Monson on 710 KIRO in Seattle called residents to boycott the Gwen Stefani and Akon show scheduled there. All this pressure culminated in Akon being fired by Verizon, and now we’re hoping Universal Music will also do the right thing. Thanks to everyone who has a moral compass for keeping our kids free from sickos like Akon.

    The employees of the club let a 15 yr old girl in a club she shouldnt be in how was Akon to know she was 15 besides do you see him holding a gun to her head she could have gotten off dat stage and she didnt she stayed and had the time of her live if it lookks like a duck then …..she knew wat she was doing she just didnt know she was going to get caught……

    This little girl went to the club on her own. The club is for ADULTS ONLY!!!! So if she wanted to go on stage and shake her little 14 year old ass up on him and dancing like an adult. How would he have known that she was a minor she didn’t look her age at the club. And with her breast showing. At 14 I was too shy to even show my stomach let alone my breast to anyone. Not saying what he did was right,but everyone have to realize that he did apoligize after he found out. So don’t be mad at Akon because the PREACHER’S DAUGHTER went to an Adult club.

    How can everyone say it was rape if the girl had any morals she wouldn’t even been that sititution and based on her pictures dated before shes a ho shes been to other concerts with friends acting like a ho and her dad let her get a tattoo and a belly piercing how was he to know she was 14 when everyone going to his concert should be 18 with proper ID

    OH MY GOD!!! I just saw the video of him molesting this young girl, what he did is RAPE!! towards a minor and while everyone watched a rooting him on!! I hope that UNIVERSAL MUSIC does not hire him or even promaote this child molester!!!!!

    GOOD! That is what he gets, and should be held responsible for his behavior and charges should be brought against him. Iam very glad!
