OMG, Kate, what are you saying. Might as well state “can you smell what the Kate has cooking”. There is no way in H*** that you can be a(true) conserv and vote for Obama. Sorry, no way!!! End of discussion – done!!!!

I say: False. He is not a conservative Republican. He is a McCain / Bush Republican. I am a conservative Republican and have donated thousands to the GOP. I am, however, voting for Obama because the McCain / Palin ticket in no way represents my views. McCain is a shadow of the man he was when he ran against Bush in the 2000 Repubican primary.

christina, not trying to offend, but using the word stupid is offending. He is trying to relate to those he knows and using his family as an example he explaining where he comes from. I do not think he was trying to disrespect his family. He was just setting his debate for those he was directing it towards.

Exactly. The man had to tell viewers where he came from, so viewers would understand that he wasn’t brain washed into becoming a conservative. In fact, he made his own decision independently of his family’s liberal democrat beliefs.

gary, gary, gary, garyyyyyyy….WHO IN THE WORLD SAID THAT I WAS FOR BARRACK?! don’t assume like you know when you don’t. I never said that HIS VIEW was stupid or that I didn’t agree or disagree. I did NOT miss his point. How can you miss that simple point? I simply stated that HE is stupid FOR just saying it the way that he did because he’s basically talking about his own family as well. He said something about how he has to stick with his people…haaaaaa his people should be his family first! I’m not saying that he’s suppose to believe what his family believes, just don’t publically INSULT your own family because THAT is what makes you look STUPID!

He is far from stupid. You might want to take a long hard look in the mirror. I would ask you to do your own research and decide if you really want Barrack as your next President.

what he says is pretty right but he’s STUPID for talking because he’s basically talking about his whole family! What a shame! He needs to show some respect! The people who raised, cared for him, etc. and he’s publically calling them stupid and whatever else. He seems to think he’s so smart and knows everything. hahaaa You know there is at least ONE person in his family that have received some kind of help from the government eirther now or before! I hope his direct family didn’t receive any kind of help from the government if he’s talking all this crap about it.

Interesting video. It goes to show that the Black community is not monolithic. There were some legitimate points. I am an independent and not registered with either party. I believe that Democrats do take the Black vote for granted and come around when elections roll around. I also believe, however, that the Republican party has shown very little interest in making inroads into the Black community. It also doesn’t help to incite fears about minorities or different ethinic/ religious groups at McCain rallies, though. McCain and Palin should tell supporters that, though Obama wants to take the nation in a different direction, there is no place for “kill him” at a rally. I am disappointed that McCain/Palin didn’t shut that down on the spot. Also labeling someone a “terrorist” without proof (knowing someone who served on a board with you doesn’t count) is slander. If Republicans took a list of their positions and went to a black church (the cornerstone of the Black community) they would find that most Blacks are anti-abortion, against gay marriage, don’t like welfare, etc. The effort has to be made though. Ken Mehlman tried to make inroads but nothing came to fruition. McCain took a step by talking to the Urban League. All Blacks are NOT beholden to the Democratic party. But what is being shown out by the McCain/Palin campaign is NOT winning friends amongst Blacks or most civil minded Americans (Republicans included).
