Paula Abdul hopes to get her own talk show in the next two to three years, she said on Monday at her cousin’s new Tweak 99 store:

"I have really great ideas."

"It would be fun and quirky and it would be insightful. It would be fun to jam with the band, and have amazing guests, and introduce amazing different formats on the show."

"I feel I would be really good at it. I have the ability to connect with people on a level. I’ve proven to pierce the heartstrings, but also to be celebratory and bring out the best in people."

If you want to "connect with people" don’t use uncommon words like "celebratory." If Paula’s incoherent comments, and bizarre behavior on American Idol, as well as interviews during that time where she looked drunk or drugged, is an indication of what her talk show would be like, I would expect the networks to take a pass on Paula’s undefined "great ideas."

Paula talks about her really big plans, and really big ideas, but it’s mostly just talk.

Saturday Night Live made a very funny skit in which Chinese President Hu Jintao calls President Barack Obama to task about his overspending at a time when the United States owes China $800 billion dollars.

Jintao refers to spending the money loaned on cash for clunkers, expanding health care coverage, Wall Street bailouts, and the economic stimulus, which Obama admits in this video clip the stimulus has created no new jobs.

In a way, it’s a good thing we owe China so much money. We kind of need someone to remind us about our ever growing debt once in a while who cares about being paid back, with interest.

Lady Gaga spent the day signing CDs for fans that bought them at a Los Angeles Best Buy. Since many fans waited in line all night for Gaga, she spent $1,000 to buy 80 cheese pizzas from Papa John’s for them. Gaga tweeted on Twitter:

"Sending all my little monsters little pizzas for waiting all night for me at best buy. I hope you’re hungry…eat up I love u!"

Papa John’s said that 40 pizzas were delivered at 3 pm PST today, and 40 more were delivered at 6 PM.

Good will, and kindness to the fans that make celebrities rich, as well as famous, is worth more than money. Most people just want celebrities to treat them, their fans, with a little respect, but generosity is even better.

David Beckham (34) was spotted using an asthma inhaler during half-time in the cup final in the U.S. According to reports Beckham has had asthma since he was a child. Spokesman for Beckham said:

"David’s always had a mild form of asthma. It’s not severe, but he does use an inhaler on occasions."

Some asthma drugs can improve athletic performance, and taking them using an inhaler means it gets into the blood quicker. Is Beckham doping or treating mild asthma? We think he’s treating asthma.

Katie Price must be feeling the pressure after her American debut about the drama that is her life. Two hours after quitting as a contestant on TV show I’m A Celebrity, Katie broke up with Alex Reid. Katie said:

"I want to be on my own. I do not want a relationship."

Another reason Katie cited for quitting the show was that it reminded her of Peter Andre, since they met on that show in 2004, married afterwards, and had two children together. Now the former couple don’t even talk to each other.

Katie said:

"The whole place reminded me of Pete from morning till the moment I went to sleep. Every second it was Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete."

"Although they were amazing, happy memories, I’d lie there and think those good memories are way gone, but then I was still there with constant reminders of Pete."

"It was so ironic I had the same bed as last time. I’d wake in the mornings, look over and think, ’Peter’s going to be there’."

"Then I’d be, ’Course he’s not going to be there, I’m not with Pete anymore’. Pete helped me through it last time. This time no one was there to help. It was cruel to do it to myself, so I just didn’t want to stay."

Sounds like Katie is still in love with Peter, or maybe not. Katie insisted appearing in the jungle again had brought her "closure" when it comes to Pete. She said: "It is definitely closure. It is all over now and it is really sad."

Katie found out from her mother that Alex was going to propose marriage to Katie live on TV, so Katie instructed security not to let Alex anywhere near her, and then she confirmed the split to reporters:

"I’m not with him [Alex], no. I cannot live my life by anyone else."

Then Katie did some soul searching:

"The past seven months I’ve acted like a right twit. I’m sorry if I upset people. It made me reflect on things. I’ve come out of here a new person."

We’ll see about that. Actions speak louder than empty words.
